LG confirms "groundbreaking" camera for the LG G4

LG's in-house parts producer, LG Innotek, has reported the notable new 16MP cam module to be utilized as a part of the forthcoming LG G4. The module is situated to be uncovered not long from now.

According to  KoreaITtimes KoreaITtimes, The camera will have a f/1.8 aperture, which means it will technically be more capable of letting more light into the sensor and therefore work better in low-light conditions than the Samsung Galaxy S6, which has a f/1.9 aperture. Thanks to the aperture, the LG G4 camera will also reportedly be capable of letting in 80 percent more light than that on the LG G3.

The LG G4 is also expected to feature a high-end 8MP front camera. To improve the color accuracy of images taken with the front camera, LG Innotek has developed an ultra-thin IR filter, which at 0.11mm is around half as thin as those on rival phones.

LG Innotek is responsible for many of the cutting-edge technologies in LG products, such as the laser autofocus which featured in last year's LG G3 (a feature that's also expected to be included in the LG G4 camera).
