WhatsApp receives lowest rating for data protection policies: report

WhatsApp has positioned rearward in a report looking at the information security approaches of the greatest US innovation organizations. The report from the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), a US-based security association, gave a dooming evaluation of WhatsApp's absence of straightforwardness over how it handles client information.

In the current year's report, Who Has Your Back?, the EFF measured the level of the straightforwardness of 24 tech organizations and how they manage information insurance issues. Criteria included whether these organizations tell clients when the US government asks for their information or whether it spares erased information. WhatsApp was the main organization on the rundown to get a one-star rating.

WhatsApp data protection policies
